I need some new video games.
i like action games like call of duty 4 and other games like that
FPS and other things im bored of my games and need new ones oh and sport games are ok to.
is there a paintballing game? is it good?

I would definately check out Modern Warfare 2 when it comes out in November. Also, there is in fact a painballing game called NPPL Championship Paintball 2009, however I have not played it myself. Perhaps rent it to check it out before you make a purchase.

I ask because I have just bought PES 2008 (pc edition) but my controller which I bought from GAME doesn’t use the regular buttons to operate the game e.g X is for through ball.

Yes, the Xbox 360 controller can be used in Windows (XP SP2 or later, incl. Vista).

The connector for a Wired XBox 360 controller is a standard USB 2.0 connector and can be plugged in and will be recognised by Plug & Play (Windows Update will install the latest drivers the next time you run it).

For an Xbox 360 Wireless controller you need a ‘Receiver’ – basically a USB Dongle that plugs into your PC to communicate correctly with XBox Wireless Equipment.

Most newer PC action / sports games (and all Games for Windows titles) should have support for the XBox 360 Controller Layout. I believe PES 2008 has a controller profile already for the the Controller.

Older Games that you can ‘remap’ your Controller can be used to remap to buttons on the XBox Controller – but some of the buttons (e.g. the Triggers) may not be possible to assign to functions.

Microsoft do sell a packaged "XBox 360 Controller for Windows" – but this is just a bog standard XBox 360 controller with the Windows drivers on CD – just buying a standard 360 controller and plugging it in, then going to Windows Update does the same thing – and is much easier to find.

The PlayStation 2. And not because I own one… It’s because of the amazing game library. So many games, from all kinds, it is just the perfect console.

I mean, let’s face it:

Wii = Mostly family and kid friendly games.

Xbox 360 = Mostly Blood, gore, action, and shooting.

PlayStation 3 = Mostly shooting, action, and blood (just like Xbox 360).

PC = Lots of online games, shooting, action, and some calssics.

PlayStation 2 = TONS of games from each category. Sports, "childish", action, shooting, blood & gore, racing, music, RPG’s, fighting, etc.

The PS3 and Xbox 360 and Wii do contain some games from each category, but not like the PS2. While the Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3 are mostly focusing on a couple categorys, the PS2 has a huge selection from each category.

It’s convenient, since you don’t have to choose whether you want kid friendly games if you have kids and you care about them more than yourself, or action if you like action, shooting if you like it, etc. Basically, from the PS2, you can enjoy all of them. If I would just own my Wii, I would definitely sell it by now. Since it barely contains shooting and action games, and mostly kid friendly games. If I would just own a PS3/Xbox 360, I would have a problem since it would lack some kid friendly/family games.

In PS2, I have tons of games, from tons of categories. Plus it makes a great DVD player.

Sorry if I kind of went off-topic when I talked about other consoles, I just wanted to show why I prefer the PS2 over ANY console.

Ok so I am thinking of getting PC video game equiptment because my friends recomend it and i was what controllers would work and how to use use them on a PC. Alot of websites say to use xbox 360 or ps3 controllers and give a long list of downloads and requirements for them. Is there just an easy and simple way to get a controller and use it without having to download or buy new software? And which would work better… a regular pc, xbox, or ps3 controller?

The Xbox 360 controller is definitely the best! Any game with the "Games For Windows" label on the box will work with the controller by default & older games require a program like xpadder, but they’re easy to use.

Also, don’t let people tell you that the mouse and keyboard are always better, because that is a false statement. I guarantee any sports, racing, or action/adventure games will be better with a controller. Mouse and keyboards should only be used for shooters and role playing games.

Oh & to get the 360 controller to work you either have to buy a wired one and plug it into your USB port or you can buy a receiver for a wireless one.

I’ve tried playing FPS like Halo with the xbox controller. It’s not as accurate or effective as using a keyboard and mouse. The design of the mouse is such that you can accurately aim and fire with it , as opposed to a 360 controller where you roll your thumb , the reticule hops all over the place , can’t aim.

The controller’s good for sports games , and action games…but if you’re trying to aim with that dumb 360 stick forget about it , it’s inaccurate as fuck. Your thoughts.

If your talking about the 360 controller specifically then I’d have to say that I don’t like the design of that controller it just feels uncomfortable in my hands and I don’t like the location of the left analogue stick and directional pad. But I do prefer a good console controller over a keyboard and mouse.

Hmm. Ignore that person with the huge games list, the majorty of those games are rated M.

I would suggest some racing games too, such as Forza Motorsport 2 and Project Gotham Racing 4. If you are looking for teen games, try MX vs. ATV: Untamed, NHL 09.

The majority of the better games are a higher rating then T for teen, so those are the only ones that I could come up with off the top of my head. Sorry.

I am planning to buy a good notebook PC and a PS3. I am investing about $2000 on my notebook PC as I need some portable and powerful machine. Desktops are not my first choice.
Is spending another $500 on PS3 or on XBOX 360 is better option? Does notebooks have better graphics than consoles?

I am going to play only FPS games like Call of Duty, Battlefield and some Action Sports like NFS etc.

Also GTA too.

Seriousley you can get a gaming laptop for much less… dont bother spending that much because it’ll be outdated in less than 2 years, If you need a laptop get one under $1k and get a ps3 (my choice because of no multiplayer fees) or xbox 360 because the games are optimized to work well on the console. I’d much prefer a desktop gaming machine as you will spend twice less money than a laptop and get triple the power!

I have oblivion and i loved it, and all these others games look cool, but i want one that u can actually play without having to be online. ( im not really into any sports games, more with action. ) and suggestions would be nice.

Call Of Duty 2!!! Hand down endless replay value with the xbox live feature its so awesome i have about 12 xbox 360 games and this is about the only thing that calls me to it lol i wake up in the middle of the night fiending to play this game !buy it!
