What are good Wii games – not virtual reality type games?

December 28th, 2012 4 comments

We like the bowling, baseball, tennis, sports games it came with. And I tried a word coach that’s fun but not as interactive. What are some challenging games that we can play with 2-4? Or even 1 player? (We are not into star wars or anything like that) Do they have like a Grand Theft Auto for Wii. Thanks!

you can get the mario and sonic olympic sports…

me and my wife rented Trauma Center : New Blood and that was pretty fun for awhile.. but the dialog is boring… the replay value is ok.. its hard to figure out how to get points and get good grades for completing each quest.
Smash Brothers is pretty good.

Also Wii Fit has just been annouced, to help some lazy people get in shape.

Mario Kart comes out at the end of the month

I guess it depends on what you want to play…

Smarty Pants is a good trivia game.
Adventure / Action – Mario Galaxy, No More Heroes, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Bully
Simulation – Trauma Center, Sims Castaway, Endless Ocean
Shooters – Medal of Honor
Sports- Tiger Woods 08
Bandwagon – Guitar Hero3

How good are the games for the Nintendo Wii?

I’m considering getting a console, and am most interested in the Wii. I’m in my 20’s and like strategy, RPGs and some action. I’d also be open to sports like games that use the wiimote. Would this be a good option? My concern is that the Wii games are more for groups and younger gamers, I usually play single player and like deep, more mature games.

The wii can be fun. The motion controls really add to some games. I like you are in my 20s and like the kinds of games that you have listed as well as others. I own both the Wii and a PS3. For over a year I just had the wii. It has some good games, like Zelda, Paper Mario, Resident Evil 4, and Call of Duty. There are some good sports games if you like Mario sports that use the motion sensor quite well. Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, Mario Strikers (soccer), Mario Sluggers (baseball) and Mario Power Tennis. However I found out more and more that they are directed more towards younger audiences and barely have any M rated games. That is why I ended up getting a PS3. If you don’t buy games a lot and the games that I listed interest you then the Wii might be a really good choice for you. Obviously there are other games so you might want to look around and see if there is a significant amount of games that you like. Looking at what games a system has is one of the best ways to determine if the system is right for you.

Sports and action games for wii?

My boyfriend’s birthday is coming up and i need some ideas for wii games!

Definitely definitely definitely get Wii sports "Resort". Make sure it is the one that says resort on it. This is one of the most enjoyable games out there for the Wii. Another great game is the action game, The Conduit. If he is big into sports, you should get him Madden NFL. Another great game is Mario Kart. It is one of the most fun things I have played for the Wii. The last game I would recommend would be Super Smash Bros Brawl.
