Express Action Sports

Okay I want to get into videography and filming when I’m older, like for Action Sports and shows like gangland and stuff. Thing is,film school cost alot!. So do I really have to go to film school or can I just be creative and find my own way into the career of videography?
Also,will having a criminal record For like petty crimes affect my chances?.like if I had drug charges will that affect them.
And this is also sort of off subject but I was reading about a guy who is a gangmember but is trying to become a photographer and get out of the ganglife,so can gangmembers become videographers? Or will the jobs hiring just look down on them?just wondering

there is a reason behind the enormous cost of higher education and that is results. they are not guaranteed but the lessons taught in art school WILL separate you from a guy that buys a video camera and calls himself a cinematographer. it is an expensive hobby but play around with your friends-make your own independent movies making you own story line and make it interesting with cool camera angles and special effects if you have some video editing software. if you are still interested in making movies after you have made some on your own, i would definitely apply to whichever school you might be looking at and go for it.

I want to make a video of me doing cool things with a lot of action.

EX: sports.

I am athletic, but I am only average at best at running, and swimming. I would like to add music, and special effects. Almost as a music video, minus the artist singing in it.

I don’t want to dub, lip sync, or do something of that nature…..so yeah, 10 points to best answer!!

Generally, if people have a good idea for something, they’ll act on it themselves. I hate to sound like a jerk, but the way to come up with a good idea for a YouTube video is not to ask people online. Don’t feel pressured to make a video right away; in time, an idea will come to you.

In order for a video to be good, it has to come from the heart. In order for it to come from the heart, it has to be a special "you" original. Okay, so maybe that’s a load of crap, but just be yourself. If people like what they see, they’ll subscribe, rate well, and leave nice comments. If they don’t, they’ll probably be complete jerks about it. Don’t let it bother you – keep on going.

Lots of Explosions

This is a type of action/adventure DVD in which, basically, lots of stuff blows up and the characters are forced to avoid getting themselves blown up as they run from one stressful situation to another, or try to escape the situation that caused so many explosions to happen in the first place. Good examples of this type of action/adventure movie include The Rock, Speed and Independence Day.

Special Effects Heavy

More often than not, special effects heavy action/adventure DVDs rely on humor to keep people interested in the movie. These are the movies in which things happen quickly and rely more on special effects than actual physics to make situations seem like they could actually happen. Some must-sees in this type of action/adventure DVD include the Matrix (the first one is phenomenal, the other two can be skipped), Transformers, and just about any movie involving superheroes.

The Macho Movie

This type of action adventure DVD centers on a single hero, usually male (or Angelina Jolie) who spends most of the movie running, jumping, climbing and, often, shooting a variety of firearms. Often this person is hunting someone or being hunted himself and has to outsmart most of the other characters in the movie to get his (or Angelina Jolie’s) way. Good examples of this include: James Bond, Rambo, the Bourne movies or almost anything starring Angelina Jolie.

The great thing about action adventure DVDs is that there are so many different types to choose from. Movie renters can choose serious movies, funny movies or even movies that have no plot but a heck of a lot of explosions.
