if so i’m planning to buy PlayStation 3
i think PC’s are better for strategy and management games, but consoles are better for action, adventure and sports games.
I ask because I have just bought PES 2008 (pc edition) but my controller which I bought from GAME doesn’t use the regular buttons to operate the game e.g X is for through ball.
Will I have more sucess with a Xbox controller?
Yes, the Xbox 360 controller can be used in Windows (XP SP2 or later, incl. Vista).
The connector for a Wired XBox 360 controller is a standard USB 2.0 connector and can be plugged in and will be recognised by Plug & Play (Windows Update will install the latest drivers the next time you run it).
For an Xbox 360 Wireless controller you need a ‘Receiver’ – basically a USB Dongle that plugs into your PC to communicate correctly with XBox Wireless Equipment.
Most newer PC action / sports games (and all Games for Windows titles) should have support for the XBox 360 Controller Layout. I believe PES 2008 has a controller profile already for the the Controller.
Older Games that you can ‘remap’ your Controller can be used to remap to buttons on the XBox Controller – but some of the buttons (e.g. the Triggers) may not be possible to assign to functions.
Microsoft do sell a packaged "XBox 360 Controller for Windows" – but this is just a bog standard XBox 360 controller with the Windows drivers on CD – just buying a standard 360 controller and plugging it in, then going to Windows Update does the same thing – and is much easier to find.
I’ve loved PC games for a long time. Over the year, many differant PC games have come out and with each year, I’d have to say that PC games get better. What is the best PC game out now?

I like Classic, Adventure, Action games. (sometimes sport but not too much)
I was finished LOZ Majora’s Mask (on emulator). Now I’m going to play Silent Hill 4. Because I want finished all my Original PC Games. I have only 4 left.
i know that playing instruments does help kids in activating those neural connections, that might otherwise die from disuse. so i’ve been wondering if playing video games or any sorts of PC games or on-line games does the same thing to youth’s brains as what playing instruments does? what about doing sports? any types of activities? well, after all, i think they are just variations of the same thing, exercising your brains in different ways. so, is it true?
Yes, they will build more neural connections. But, do we want those connections in the first place. Almost anything learned will build connections that relate to that action. Is not about having lots of connections. It is about having the right connections. The connections that will enable them to succeed in life. From music children learn perseverance, learn creativity, etc etc.
What would they learn from video games? that is the question.

Sports, RTS Games and Sim games (Excluding hunting games maybe)
I already have Counterstrike Source, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Stalker 2, Mirror’s Edge (IF you know of any games even slightly similar to this one, please let me know), Doom 3, Dead Space, Half Life 2, Battle for Middle Earth 2 and Battlefield 2. (Lots of 2’s in there. O:)
I’d like it if you could just give me your personal favourites, providing they fit my category, OR if you take a look at my games list and decide that I might like a certain game, please make that recommendation.
Thanks guise, like I said..I know of lots of games like Assassin’s Creed 2 and Just Cause 2 and all that but…I really want to try a game that I am perhaps unaware of or maybe just something I am unsure about.
Oh yeah, when I mean ACTION…this includes 3rd person shooters and 1st person shooters and it also includes Survival Horror and all that good stuff.

All the Sims games are good and are both for ps2 and pc and cake mania is fun you get to make cakes and buy materials you need to run you bakery and Bella Barbara shop is good as well both cake mania and Bella Barbara shop are for pc.

Mirrors edge is incredible, great way to show off your GPU, get steam too, I recommend the half life series, the portal series and the splinter cell series too!
I’m looking for a game with a good story line that’s an RPG and Action/Adventure. Any suggestions? Or just anything good, but no sports games, card game, simulation, party, racing, puzzles, or shooters. Sorry to be picky, but i had to narrow down the genres.
