Are the X Games ONLY for Generation X and Y viewers?
Will you get weird looks if your younger and are just into Motocross of they are? Or is it all good?
Quote:
"The X Games is a commercial annual sports event, controlled and arranged by Disney-owned US sports broadcaster ESPN, which focuses on extreme Action Sports intended for Generation X and Generation Y viewers. The games started in 1995."
Does that mean that group of people strictly? Or can younger people enjoy the games as well?
Thanks.
No, but the sports in X-Games do cater to younger viewers. That’s a very important demographic for advertisers to reach, so they support the games. If X-Games was of little interest and no one watched it would fail, due to the lack of commercial support.
Along the road to Loretta’s, riders are faced with increasing pressure. Week after week, the need to make it in becomes more urgent and more dangerous. This week Christina Older and Alex Frye converge on the Windy Hills Regional Championship in Ellerbe, NC, while Zach Fulkerson pursues his final shot for making the cut at Three Palms in Conroe, TX for the South-Central Youth Regional Qualifier. Still searching for qualifying positions, they were put to the ultimate test in racing. With one last shot to make it in, it was a do-or-die situation for our young hopefuls if they were to advance to the next stage of racing – the Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn’s.
