What games should I buy for my PC?

I just got a new PC and want to get some newer games for it. One that I know I’m going to get is Gears of War. Can anyone reccommend any other games for me? I don’t really like sports games or RPG games but I do like stuff like FPS, Puzzle and Action games.
Also if it is possible I would like to try to get games that you can use a gamepad with. I am not very good at playing a game on the keyboard.
Well if you haven’t got the Orange Box then I would definitely reccommend that, also COD4 and Bioshock are really good. I’ve heard STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl is quite good. And if your system can handle it get Crysis.
