What new PS3 game should I spend my recession proof cash on?

November 20th, 2012 5 comments

I have a PS3. Is Dead Space worth the money? I have four sports games at the moment and have already traded in my GTA IV. I’m looking for an action/adventure shooter. Thanks

Dead space is actually a really great game. Its not like one of those shooters that your all geared up for, its just the opposite.

Your basically a mechanic on a space ship and has to survive and adapt. It has really great game play, but one thing I don’t like is the parts that have Zero-gravity. It feels like your trying to swim in sand, (maybe that’s just me).

Also if your looking for action/shooter, Fallout 3 is amazing. You should check it out.

What is a good helmet or gun camera set up to use for playing paintball?

November 16th, 2012 1 comment

Im looking for something that will attach to a Tippmann X-7 or Invert Avatar Mask so I can video game play. Could I get advice on what gear to buy?

I’d recommend one of these

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-Super-Action-Sports-Helmet-Camera-30FPS-/180549502598?pt=Camcorders_Professional_Video_Cameras

It’s massively adjustable so it can fit the helmet no problem, or you can tape it to the gun. I use it for airsoft and it’s great.

One word of warning would be that if you want to mount it on helmet, you need to mount it on your left hand side (so it’ll be upside down) if you want to get the gun barrel in the picture, so you’ll need software to flip it.

Hope this helps

Can you think of video games for Windows that can be controlled using the MOUSE?

August 14th, 2012 3 comments

Do you know of any action, adventure, or sports games for Windows that have mouse control in the actual game play?

Depends on what you are implying in your question. But I think what you mean to say is if there are any games that are solely controlled by the mouse for the Windows operative system.

If that is the case, I know of tons of games, however the quality varies as fewer buttons cause for less complex gaming. However if you seek easy, casual action gaming I can recommend "Hammerfight", "Rag Doll Kung Fu", "Ninja Reflex", and alot more, just pm me if you wish for me to compile a list, and I’ll see what I can manage to do in my spare time.

Other than that in the action genre: I believe that "Alien Shooter" series and the "Zombie Shooter" can be solely controlled by a mouse, and those are indeed very action packed.

But if the case is that you seek adventure rather than action, then perhaps you should seek out the "point and click" adventures. There are tons worth mentioning but just to mention a title, then the "Sam & Max" series from "Telltale Games" is a good place to start. But then again, ofcourse, if you’re into hard puzzles and braindrenching games that leaves your braincells numb and devestated then perhaps you should definately try out the "Myst" series.

I’m not much of a sports-game person so unfortunately I can’t help you there, but I do fancy some puzzle-games that you might want to look into. Don’t get me wrong, I do not enjoy playing "Tetris" or other old concepts, I rather loathe slowpaced and monotone gameplaying. That is why I feel it is neccessary to inform you and the rest of society, that puzzle- and casual games has evolved ALOT since "Tetris".

Therefore, to end this answer I would like to suggest a few that I enjoy very much, using only mouse ofcourse, that I implore anyone to try out:

"Peggle"
"Puzzle-Geddon"
"Osmos"
"Plants vs. Zombies"
"Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords" ("Galactrix" weren’t just as much fun IMPO)
"Gyromancer"
"Zuma"
"Luxor"
"Eets"
"Cogs"

…and too many to mention here, lol… 🙂 Just let me know on PM if you want more suggestions. Other than that, I can tell you by experience that "PopCap" games in general are alot of fun if you seek to play short sessions. I’ve tried the most, so… If you like my taste, feel free to ask me if I’ve tried a title and what I thought of it… 😉

What Kind Of Game Would You Play !! Action Games or Sport Games ?

July 9th, 2012 6 comments

PLEASE ANSWER

sports games, because they are fun even if your favorite team is horrible; you can just do a fantasy draft. plus they pretty much never end, give you updated rosters if you have online access, and they can be pretty cheap depending on when you buy them; especially if you buy them used after they’ve been out a few months.

Who/what company enters data into the software that drives the mlb.com game day system?

July 7th, 2012 1 comment

Several on line sports site have ‘live game stats’ and play by play action. I’d love having a job like that entering data while watching a game – anyone know what company does that or is it a home team responsibility?

MLB has a thing about not divulging their sot-ware vendors.so your guess is as good as any ones.

Try asking this question or one similar in the YA computer category.

What You Need To Know Video Games

May 23rd, 2012 3 comments

Video games give little boys the opportunity to play major league sports in the comfort of their own home, and fantasize about what it would be like if they donned a colorful jersey of their favorite football or basketball team and took on their opponent in a National playoff game.

These Action Sports are displayed in realistic regulation sized court settings that come complete with the cheering fan sounds that come from a sell-out crowd, or a player might be subjected to boos and hisses from fans, that are emitted following a bad play on the playing field that resulted in an interception when the ball is on the 10 yard line.

All of these athletically oriented video games allow children to mentally interact in a fast paced game environment. These young children will become very knowledgeable about the physical movements that are required to play basketball and football, before they are ever tasked to perform these actions in real life.

These athletic video games have a unique personalization attached to them, and children identify with many major NBA team players that they see on the basketball courts on weekday nights and weekends throughout the year. These video games help to reinforce confidence levels in children and remind them that they can do anything they want in life if they are willing to put in enough effort to refine their talents.

Fathers and sons can form a bonded relationship through video games. The helpful hints and life learning experiences can be shared between family members, and each one realizes how very talented the other person is in different aspects of game play. Perhaps the parent excels at finding lost treasure, and the child can complete snowboarding flips better than their father. In many cases, the child becomes a teacher for a time, and they always enjoy that opportunity immensely.

A lot of fun can be achieved when families share game controllers and drive race cars haphazardly through city streets. The amusement of cars repeatedly crashing into buildings with no sign of car damage and children running over any pedestrian they choose at any point in the game can get very comical at times. Video games allow children to develop a sense of humor and develop a keen perception that will stay with them for a lifetime.

Children learn very quickly about how to set up a video game consoles and attach the various game controllers. They become unlicensed computer technicians when they can instruct other people how to use the systems without batting an eye. They learn how memory cards work and how much memory a certain game will take up on their card. Memory cards are very useful to children because they tire quickly of playing a game that needs to be restarted time after time with no winner or end in sight.

Video games are very durable and can take a large amount of abuse before they are broken. The thick plastic that surrounds these electronic game cards is impact resistant and can take many years of wear and tear before they will malfunction. Many people find smaller games more suitable for road trips and vacations, and realize the importance of purchasing a multimedia console that the whole family can enjoy viewing in the living room of their home too.

Paintball Games – Is Paintball a Safe Game to Play?

May 18th, 2012 6 comments

I know it’s an extreme recreation action sport, but is it safe?

Paintball games unsafe? Heck, it doesn’t get any safer (or fun) that this.

When played in the right spirit, it’s the most non-violent ‘gun games’ out there. Tremendous release, excellent fun, and big boys like us shooting each other with harmless pellets of paint. What can be more exhilarting that that?!

Paintballs are just thin, light plastic spheres (0.5" in diameter) filled with color. As long as you’ve got the face mask, head gear and safety equipment on, it’s like having a mud bath — or paint bath 🙂

I just got myself an Ion XE Paintball Gun. Wanna play?
