What is a good spy game like James Bond, The Bourne Conspiracy, Splinter Cell, with lots of action, car chases?

Hey!

I am looking for a good game with a great storyline, and a bunch of mind bending twists, that really involve the player in lots of action, including hand to hand combat, and gun, with a really cool car chase like in the movies, with super cars, sports cars, SUV’s, and motorbikes. A game which really makes you feel involved, and as a player giving you the image that you are quite lethal, and dangerous, with a really interesting plot involving twists.

It does not have to be a spy game, but can be any game which is just as cool, involving smart decisions, multiple car action, and good chase, with a really good plot.

The problem is that i don’t know many games fitting this criteria, and even the new Quantam of Solace game is too short, and does not involve driving the Aston Martin DBS V12, but rather shoot the same type of enemies. Any ideas? No idiotic comments, stupid responses, or SPAM please. Thank you very much.

Metal gear solid 1 (gamecube) 2 (ps2) 3 (ps2) and 4 (ps3).

No car chases, but epic epic epic storylines and plot twists with lots of combat and cool cutscenes :P. Favorite games of all time tbh..

Movie Cars that star on the big screen

July 25th, 2012 3 comments

There are many films where the heroes will be involved in some sort of car chase, it’s an age old cinematic spectacle that thrills the audience and livens up the action in the film. Sometimes cars that are features in the movies are special custom versions which we will struggle to find on used car forecourts, like the Tumbler from the recent Dark Knight film, although some dedicated metal workers have built their own version in their backyards!

In general though most films will use an iconic car that will be associated with the movie, in some cases this can help sell that car. This happens a lot with modern cars where they get placed in films to help publicise it in a similar way to how stars will be seen drinking Coca Cola during the film. Well the following is a short list of four movie cars that are stars in their own right, many of them can be bought from collectors or brand new from the local car dealership.

1963 Volkswagen Sunroof Sedan – Herbie from “The Love Bug”
The VW Beetle as it is known in the UK is an iconic vehicle that many people not only associate with the film but also the sixties era. There are still plenty of VW Beetles on the road today and have an impressive growl to them. A lot of owners, even those of the newer 2000 model, get their cars to be painted in a similar style as Herbie.

1974/2007 Chevrolet Camaro – Bumblebee from “Transformers”
The perfect boy’s toys film includes robot aliens that hide among us as cars and other machines. One of the main characters is Bumblebee that initially starts the film as a beaten up, rusty 1974 Chevy Camaro but later in the film transforms to take on the form of the modern 2007 model. This car, since the sequel, has been released in a special Transformers edition complete with Autobots badges.

Aston Martin DBS – James Bond’s car from “007: Quantum of Solace”
The James Bond films have always been associated with the luxury British sports car brand Aston Martin. In 2006’s Casino Royale, fans of Bond were outraged when James Bond was seen driving a Ford Focus, the sequel made this right by giving the film its latest masterpiece – the DBS.

DeLorean DMC-12 – The time machine from “Back to the Future”
The DeLorean is one of the Irish brands only sports cars but didn’t sell very well in the 1980s, which was until the Robert Zemeckis film came out and the interest for this interesting vehicle increased. The body work is made from stainless steel and with its gull wing doors, the car is very unique and there is a thriving collector’s scene for the famous car.

If you fancy a car you’ve seen on film then there are plenty of cars available that you could get car finance or loans on to cover the costs. For your next car, consider car credit to help you to buy the car you want.

How to Choose an Action Packed DVD

May 20th, 2012 10 comments

For many families, their worst arguments happen during movie night. They set off for the video rental place and, after a few minutes of looking around, they each come back with a stack of different movies that each person wants to watch. Of course, budgets and time are not something that most people have a lot of extra wiggle room in these days, so it is highly likely that an argument will erupt before everyone sits down in front of the television. This isn’t always the case of different people having fundamentally different tastes. Sometimes it is because there are just too many movies to choose from. How, for example, does one pick an action/adventure DVD when there are several different types of action/adventure DVDs to choose from?

Cars that Go Fast

This is a type of action/adventure DVD that involves cars going really really fast. These cars are usually very expensive sports cars that are driven by men with large muscles and larger egos while wearing very tight clothing (to show off those muscles of course). Sometimes, the movie is more about the cars going fast than it is about the plot (though, honestly, how many action/adventure DVDs have complicated plots). Some of the better car chase action/adventure DVDs include the Fast and the Furious (the first one), Days of Thunder and Redline

Lots of Explosions

This is a type of action/adventure DVD in which, basically, lots of stuff blows up and the characters are forced to avoid getting themselves blown up as they run from one stressful situation to another, or try to escape the situation that caused so many explosions to happen in the first place. Good examples of this type of action/adventure movie include The Rock, Speed and Independence Day.

Special Effects Heavy

More often than not, special effects heavy action/adventure DVDs rely on humor to keep people interested in the movie. These are the movies in which things happen quickly and rely more on special effects than actual physics to make situations seem like they could actually happen. Some must-sees in this type of action/adventure DVD include the Matrix (the first one is phenomenal, the other two can be skipped), Transformers, and just about any movie involving superheroes.

The Macho Movie

This type of action adventure DVD centers on a single hero, usually male (or Angelina Jolie) who spends most of the movie running, jumping, climbing and, often, shooting a variety of firearms. Often this person is hunting someone or being hunted himself and has to outsmart most of the other characters in the movie to get his (or Angelina Jolie’s) way. Good examples of this include: James Bond, Rambo, the Bourne movies or almost anything starring Angelina Jolie.

The great thing about action adventure DVDs is that there are so many different types to choose from. Movie renters can choose serious movies, funny movies or even movies that have no plot but a heck of a lot of explosions.
