What goes in the mind of those who practice extreme sports?
I mean racers, extreme bikers, skaters, skiers, climbers…
Don’t they care for their life at all? I mean there’s 90% they might die. What kind of people are they? Are they admiration seekers, who like to show off?
Should we praise their courage?
A survey and study has shown that the Majority of all extreme sport athletes have ADD/ADHD, and some have Bi-Polar.
This feuls their drive and ambition to do the crazy things they do. I have two grandsons, a Nephew, and a little girl who
all are pretty brave and seem to thrive in Adrenaline rush situations, whereas we might start to lose focus, they gain focus in these situations. The Adrenaline rush works differant for these people, than it does for you and I. An Energy drink
that may give us a rush of energy will Calm them Down.
Medications they take like ritalin, Focalin, soqual, and so forth are actually a pharmaceutical grade inphetamine that would make our skin crawl and our hair stand on end- it calms down a person with ADD/ADHD. Weird but true.

I love extreme sports. Motorcycles (crotch rockets), Dirt Bikes, Rock Climbing, Skateboarding, Rollerblading, Snowboarding, wakeboarding. I’ve got the equipment for them all, and participate in all of them, as well as others out there. I’m hoping to soon have my own parachute for sky diving/base jumping..
You sound like someone who has never really experienced any of these activities. Well, think about how you enjoy a rollercoaster, its a wild thrill, and alot of fun. Well extreme sports are a rush that you have control over. Which makes it an even bigger rush knowing that there is a little danger involved, that just kicks in your adrenaline even more…..and adrenaline is a good feeling.
You ask don’t I care about my life at all? Well I think I care about it way more than people who don’t participate in extreme sports. Extreme sports makes you feel on top of life, your living to the absolute fullest. Experiencing it in every way possible. Pushing its boundries.
Not only that, it strengthens your body and mind. Sure, some people have had accidents and died, but people have accidents and die from driving cars, flying planes, being murdered, etc. I plan to continue extreme sports my whole life, and I will most likely live much longer than all the people who don’t do these things and sit around letting their arteries clog up.
Sure, getting hurt is inevitable, I’ve bled alot of blood, lost plenty of skin, broken bones……In fact my thumb is broken right now as I type this. But those things heal, and make you stronger. The payoff is worth the risk. You gotta pay to play
It strengthens your mind too. No matter what the sport, limits are always being pushed, people are acoomplishing things now that were said to be humanly impossible, just a few years ago. No matter how much you do there will always be new tricks to learn and new things to accomplish. And I can tell you it sure is rewarding when you land a very tough trick that you have been working on for a long time. Its not about showing off…sure if I can do something cool, I’ll show it….but that’s not what causes me to do it, I do it for my own satisfaction.
And about boundries…are none. Its not like baseball or football which have been played the same way for hundereds of years, that gets boring. These are constantly evolving sports, you make the rules, there is nothing to limit you except physics and your level of skill.
Well, that turned out long winded, I think I’ve typed enough to answer your question. Whoever Doesn’t do extreme sports are the ones who don’t care for life much.
