Can a mooncup be used for extreme sports?

Hi,
I want to start using the mooncup, but is it good with extreme sports? I need to be sure that there are no leaks! lol. I don’t mind the mess but do need something when playing sports which i can keep in longer.

Menstrual cups can be used for any type of sports, they are better than using tampons or pads because you can wear them for up to 12 hours safely, as they hold more fluid than other options and create a seal within your vagina it means when inserted correctly they do not leak. They are also advantageous as they don’t contribute to cramping and bloating as tampons can.

FYI – You shouldn’t need back-up with cups as you would need with tampons but you might want something anyway just so you feel more confident with a cup at first. I suggest Lunapanties http://www.lunapads.com which are underwear with pads built-in so give you better protection, more discretion and feel more comfortable which is a plus with sports.

yes the mooncup can be used for sports. It is essentially the same as a tampon but better. Good luck! If you have anymore questions you can visit this site:

There is all sorts of info on it and a frequently asked questions page which I found very helpful when considering it.
