why do most people into action sports wear long hair?
I’ve seen lots of surfers, skaters, snowboarders, etc., often wear long hair. why is that?
easier to deal with. just pull it into a pony tail. don’t have to worry about constantly getting it cut or styled.
I don’t think it has a purpose, though I could be wrong. If I were a skateboarder, I’d probably grow my hair out longer because everyone else was doing it and it would look cool wooshing in the wind.

Long hair is more dramatic. When someone turns his or her head with short hair, there isn’t an ostentation. When someone with long hair turns his or her head, there’s an ostentation of swinging hair, or better yet, long dreads. It’s for show. It’s much like the cape on superman. It’s something that has grace and flow for a more dramatic action-picture.
