Best DSLR with lens for far away action sports between 800 and 900 dollars?

ok so im researching for a new camera for my schools yearbook class. the budget is 900 and lower. what is the best dslr mostly for action shots with a great zoom lens that i wouldn’t have to purchase separately? Looking for cameras with Canon or Nikon please and thank you.

you always have to purchase lenses separately with the exception of the kit lens, which for sub-$1000 cameras is usually an 18-55, not nearly the range you need for sports

you can look at the Nikon D3100 and Canon T3 or T1i and also look at getting the Nikon 55-200 or Canon 55-250mm lens, which will total to be right about $900 without tax for the T1i and D3100. It will be about $150 cheaper if you go with the T3

    I have the Canon T1i. This deal from amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Canon-T1i-500D-Kit-Lens/dp/B002V1SMVK/ref=sr_1_8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1315443600&sr=1-8 gives you the camera (which is good and does continuous shooting at about 3 frames per second; good for action shots) This bundle comes with the standard lens AND a 55-250 mm lens (i have this one too) which is good for long action shots! This is a very good deal! Only about 800!

    It is a Canon t2i which has a better sensor, 18 megapixels. it comes with an 18-135 mm lens which is pretty good lens. you can get a good zoom with it. This one is about 950!

    I’d check for a factory refurbished camera kit (or new if need be) from a reliable store, I usually use "cameta camera" in ny, they have a lot of ebay auctions too, have always been happy with them. personally I’m a nikon guy, get whatever the best model that fits your budget (forget what the latest model is)…they usually have a good kit with two lenses, I’d highly recommend the 18-55 vr lens (nikkor/nikon brand) and the 70-300 (usually tamron), that’s got everything you need….

    Hi,

    Well considering the cheapest from Canon and Nikon are 55-250mm at $200, you should be getting a DSLR at below $700. You have Canon EOS T3, T2i and Nikon D3100.
