What lap-top should I get that will meet my needs?

I am looking for a lap-top because having to use the home desktop has been starting to be a trouble to share with 4 members in the family and one computer. I am going into highschool so im looking for one that will be good for school work and organization. I also want one with a webcam so i can vid chat with friends. Another big thing is I want a good video editing system it, because I have picked up the hobby of filming and editing funny/Action Sports videos. I am trying to find one that is affordable and im having a hard time doing so. Thanks for the help.

From my own research, you have two options:

This is the one that will do whatever you need, but it’s more pricey:

This is the one that will allow you to do general things like internet usage and and moderate editing.

An economical value – this one will do everything you need and light video editing:

Hope these helps!

If you want a laptop for studio purposes… (video editing, music, etc…) then go with a Dell Studio.
Most laptops can do all that stuff because its the hardware that determines the abilities of the computer. You want a laptop that can run the software you give it. I recommend the Dell Studio, Dell Inspiron, Toshiba Satellite, and a Macbook.. a macbook would be nice but only if you want to pay the extra money for a mac :/
