What are the hardest video games to make to please the players?
Is it RPG, Sports, or Action/Adventure… Or other.
My brother is crazy about sports and racing games. I’m crazy about Action/Adventure, Fighting, and RPG games.
sports are the easiest, as you can see with games like madden and nbalive coming out every year and recorded massive sales despite the fact that they change very little.
rpg’s require a lot of work and people get very in-depth with these games, so it would be difficult to make a really outstanding one of these. however, the market for them is pretty small. there are only a few major names when it comes to rpg’s, so they have to stack up to the best.
shooters are pretty instant-gratification. you shoot, someone blows up. fun! weve seen some pretty generic shooters do well.
same goes for the whole action/adventure genre. buuut, there are so many of them that unless you make a good one, its going to get lost in the fray.
ill go with RPGs
i think it would be sports

I would think that it has to be the RPG’s cause they have to have so much back story and sup-plots and stuff like that for the game players to actually enjoy them.

Fighting and RTS games are the hardest to please players because they require a LOT of balance or else the game is easily exploited and everyone becomes upset. But, they also have to bring in innovation and a changes from other games otherwise the game feels stale and overused.
