Switching Back – Comcast

Back in the sixties, cable television was taking consumers by storm. It was one of the most prestigious luxuries afforded by any family. Comcast Internet Service started then and has continued to explore and develop cable and other telecommunications technology to the point where they are the number one leader in digital cable television services in the United States and a world leader in telecommunications technology. Prices of cable and satellite television services continue to change with Comcast maintaining quality services at inexpensive prices. Comcast has perfected technologies and now provide three popular services neatly bundled into a great money saving package – digital television services, high speed internet access, and digital telephone plans. The popular trend of bundling has not missed Comcast – two or three services offered at a great savings and a single price. Customer satisfaction, convenience, and savings are priority with Comcast.

Most homes have the capability of television, internet, and telephone services, and Comcast offers great new changes using these technologies. Digital cable television now guarantees crystal-clear imagery with exceptional clarity in sound with Comcast offering many options including an On-Screen Programming guide. The guide lists all programming by time and title with programs listed several hours in advance, and makes it simple and convenient for one to choose shows. On-Demand is a step above Pay-Per-View in that it allows you to watch a selection anytime with the added extra of being able to stop and rewind or fast forward without missing a moment of the action. This eliminates trips to video stores as new movie releases and other events are available at the touch of a fingertip. Another great feature is the Parental Control guide. This allows parents or guardians to stop inappropriate programming from being viewed accidentally by children. Block shows using ratings, content, title, date, time, or channel. Quality of programming and expanded viewing selections has allowed Comcast to be the provider that offers the largest number of options to viewers. More than 275 popular channels are available plus additional packages of High Definition programming, sports selections, premier movie channels, and more. All the channels one is used to viewing – local channels, sports channels, movie channels, children’s channels, and music channels – are included in incremental package channel schedules. It is a win-win situation with Comcast cable entertainment – the best and the most at reasonable prices.

High speed internet access and digital telephone service are relatively new services offered by Comcast and their popularity and use is growing almost as fast as its internet speed – 100 times faster than dialup connections. Use of Comcast internet services increases one’s capability to quickly download data, music, movies, games, software updates, and more within seconds rather than minutes. There is no wait – it is immediate. Comcast also provides anti-spyware protection and firewall protection to insure optimal safety of both computer, identity, and other personal information data. Digital technology has drastically improved traditional telephone services with its provision of excellent clarity and solid connections. Comcast’s digital telephone plans include excellent services and savings with telephone options and all local and long distance calls placed within the United States and Canada being included in one low flat monthly fee. There are no additional charges for Caller ID, call waiting, call forwarding, 3-way calling, redial, etc. International calls are charged at lower rates than most companies. If you are considering change – switch back to cable services provided by Comcast Internet Service. This will be a choice you will never regret. Enjoy the best and the latest now with Comcast.

Switching from Comcast to DirecTV back to Comcast?
Okay, so my house has had Comcast for the passed few years.
Then, last week, we switched to DirecTV.
Realizing that was the biggest mistake of our lives, we got them to drop our contract, and we’re going to be switching BACK to Comcast now.
My question is, is that they’re going to shut off the DirecTV service tomorrow or the day after. Can I hook my Comcast boxes back up now and use them?
I’m asking this, because the DirecTV boxes had my cable lines hooked up to them. So I’m wondering if my cable lines coming into my house and the different rooms of my house have DirecTV’s service.. and not Comcasts? We never canceled Comcast… so I’m hoping I can just hook up the Comcast boxes now while Direct TV is still connected for today.

    Thanks!

Although the Directv and Comcrap used the same cables inside the house, they used different cables outside the house. You can definitely hook up the cable boxes to see if it works…it’s not going to hurt anything.

When directtv connected their dish/lnb they disconnected Comcast. You’ll have to pay Comcast to reconnect their service.

You will have to locate the Comcast cable /cord where it’s coming into the house and disconnect the DTV and plug the cable back in. There should be some kind of splitter at the place where Comcast and direct TV comes into the house.
