Do you think is better to concentrate on a video game genre?

Do you think is better to concentrate on a video game genre or do you think is better to play all video game genres?

For example my favorite video game genre is action, do you think I should also play Adventure, Role-Playing, Strategy, Puzzle, Driving, Simulation, Sports, etc video game genres or should I continue playing my favorite video game genre which is action?

Thanks.

I think it is better to play whatever you want to play. I happen to play — and make — a wide variety of games, all of which I love.

I think IT’S better to pay attention in school. But if you must play video games (for OCCASIONAL leisure), then it would be best to stick with your favorite genre.

if your favorite is action, for the most part play action games. however i believe that it never hurts, to kinda see what other games are out there in diffrent genre. example i have a few action a few adventure and 2 racing games in my collection and i enjoy all of them even though i like the action and adventure type games the most.

You play what you want. As long as it isn’t interfering with life then play away. It’s your free time so play what you want.

This lets gaming creators concentrate on what’s more important–writing and level design … Before you make video games, you need some ideas that you can work from. … of what genre you choose, you will need to create a plot for your video game. …. someone else’s video games, many people think that they can do better.

I just play what I feel like playing. Although I try to only focus on a few games until I finish them then start a new one.
