Jobs for woman in the army, help?

I reaaally want to do something in the army, I’m in my last year of school now so I need to start deciding what I want to do with my life. I want to do something in the army, but the problem is I don’t know what woman can do? and what qualifications you need? ect. I’m not a fitness freak but I don’t mind doing sports, and if I was to do an action sort of job then I’d start training now, I also wouldn’t mind doing anything like social working jobs in the army. Any advice? much appreciated x
British Army 🙂

All jobs within the army (UK) are open to females. you will have to decide what you will have to decide what you want to do. It will all depend on your attitude, abilities and fitness. Why don’t you pop into the Army careers office and talk to them there and get some ideas.

    Good Luck

I am assuming its for the UK Army (If not this will be different).
There are a few jobs women can’t do in the Army such as Infantry and some other more intense jobs.
Being a Driver is a popular position for women, oddly enough its my job (Specialist Driver).

You can’t just look at the Army as just a easy way to getting a decent paying job. The Army is a way of life and it is very hard, you’ve got to be determined and really want it, if you have any doubt about it, don’t bother.

The fitness is very important, before you get anywhere, you’ve got to do selection and jump through lots of hoops to eventually get into paid training. If you don’t feel up to it, don’t bother. I have been through it in the last year and it is painful!

Want any more details about the process of joining up, feel free to email me.

Stay away at all costs. The army mind controll new recruits into being blindly patriotic. While the people at the top care nothing for this country. Sadly the british army sacrifices our troops for the benefits of less than one percent of the world population. The reasons for invading countries are looting their natural resources and expanding the empire. Nothing to do with protecting us. These wars in fact put us more at risk from outside attack from people who’s countries are being bombed back to stone age for their oil and minerals. Our troops loose legs and as soon as they get back receive next to no care and far too little money. The troops should receive the same wages as the politicians and the politicians should receive the same as the troops. Politicians do useless jobs that require no hard work. Not like the troops. We don’t need politicians in this country. They only decide what our money is spent on. If we wanted to build a bridge we wouldnt pay someone to hand the money to a bridgebuilder we would just pay the bridgebuilder point made.

You can do anything from helicopter Pilot to Artillery Gunner.
There are over 150 different jobs open to you, obviously different trades require different qualifications and fitness levels. And don’t forget to look into RAF and Royal Navy too.
Best thing is to check the website or have a chat at your local AFCO.
Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps (QARANK) would probably be the one if you wanted to move into social.mental care side of things i think
