Ok… what Belichek did really wasn’t as bad as people are making it out to be…
He was using video cameras to watch for the other teams’ signals… I know this seems bad, but the rule he was breaking was using video cameras to watch signals, it’s allowed in the NFL to use binoculars and other such devices to watch for signals, just not cameras. All this needs is a fine, maybe a few draft picks taken, and thats all…

Barry Bonds alledgedly used steroids and everyone jumps on him about cheating and tarnishing the sports most coveted record. yes its the biggest record of all of sports but baseball allows cheating and turns the other cheek.

but football doesnt allow cheating at all. its not hand in hand with the game. people dont view cheating in football like in baseball. he not only admitted to cheating but they have been caught before.

just like people view Bonds homerun record of being tarnished. i will view the Pats so called dynasty as being tarnished.

ESPN did a poll and it was astonishing…..a little over half of the people in this country view the Pats dynasty as being tarnished now with the cheating. but with Bonds alledgedly using roids an overwhelming of the people in this country think its tarnished and he hasnt even been convicted of anything. no wonder so many people outside this country hate us so much.

i have always hated the Pats this just gives me another reason. plus it brings up alot of questions. we really dont know how good of a team they really are!!! when you know someones defensive plays or schemes its easy to make a good or descent qb a really great one.

First of all, he did not admit to cheating. In his press conference, he said that he discussed HIS INTERPERATATION of the rule with the commissioner. No ruling has come down from the league at this point.

Honestly, I think it’s COMICAL, and makes you sound like an idiot when you make this a racial issue. Those coaches you mentioned, along with every other coach in the NFL do things like this every week. The Patriots are just the team that got caught because in their interperataion of the rules, they were within their rights to do this.

This is not a race issue. Besides – Dungy, Lovie and the gang have more class than to cheat.

Baroid did cheat – not alleged – the evidence is overwhelming.

The Pats will be penalized – probably a suspension – much like what is happening to NFL players that cheat (like Baroid) by using illegal substances.

BB did not admit to cheating in his press conference, just apologized to everyone that it has affected. Given the circus that has started because of this, I think that apology was entirely appropriate.

This is as big as any scandal in any sport. Bill B fans call it competition to get an edge. This sounds just like someone’s justification for taking steroids………to get an unfair edge, right? Hello???? To dismiss this as something minor is totally ridiculous. Everyone talks of Barry Bonds and his "alleged" use of performance enhancing drugs. When/if he’s found guilty then he deserves all that he gets, however, he has NOT been found guilty……so all the haters should shut up until then. If he’s not found guilty then all of sports needs to celebrate the accomplishment the way that it should have been. Bill B was fired from his last job and now has put on a run of success that it totally amazing……well, we may know why now. If it’s discovered that he indeed cheated for one game or over the years then he too deserves all the criticism and punishment that he gets. The punishment should be severe! Everyone else please stop assuming that you are the judge and jury, that you are the expert on what every coach does in the league, etc, etc, etc. Deal with what you know to be true not with some misguided assumptions or claims that you’re dumb enough to follow……………..becuase you’re a hater!!

No one is outraged because no one really cares about the Patriots issue and it has nothing to do with race.

I’m not sure if you noticed, but Hank Aaron is black too… not to mention that Mark McGwire, Rafael Palmeiro, Jose Canseco, Jason Giambi, and Ricky Ankiel have all been accused of using steroids, and if any of them were to break the record, I’m pretty sure people would feel exactly the same as they do about Bonds breaking it. Personally, I’m looking forward to the day when A-rod breaks it, and to be perfectly clear, the reason I want Bonds to not have the record is because he’s a cheater AND a jerk-off. By far, he is the biggest A-hole in major league baseball right now. The fact that he still denies ever using steroids is amazing, i mean… you ever meet anyone else who went through that massive of a growth spurt in their 30’s, and who’s voice went up 4 octaves?

Using a video tape, is a little different than injecting substances into ones body…
