I want to get into PC gaming and want some suggestions for what is a good starter game.?

I like action games and sports games. Not a big fan of Final Fantasy type games ( strategy) or War games.
I like Halo on 360 and games similar to that but not really a huge fan of war games. I have a Dell XPS 720.

Maybe you would like to play Unreal tournament (http://www.unrealtournament3.com/), a really good first person shooter, I play this one since 1999 :s and I dont get any bored since then

And finaly, if you are willing to pay 15$ monthly, I really, really really recomend World of Warcraft (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/index.xml) an very addictive MMORPG. more info http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_of_Warcraft

    I would say get halo 2 (vista) but you said your not into war games so I suggest football-madden-if you know how to play football, otherwise I’d say try out runescape…lots of people like it…

    If you are not a big fan of either war or strategy games than your best bet is a sports game like Madden 08, or if you are really serious about this the MMORPG World of Warcraft. When I say "serious", I’m just saying that WoW is a amazing game, however it is highly addictive so watch out! 🙂

    Head to file planet download demos, test out the games that interests you. Check your system specs before you buy.

    umm ahaha. im not a pc gamer im a consel gamer i have a ps3 ps2 ps1 and xbox 360, but the games i think u should get for the pc for a starter would be command and conguer 3 but its kind of a stratedgy game so idk like theres action games but most action games have to do with war and stratedgy, and killing and shooting like those are the kinda games i love especially war shooters but idk bout u i cant help u here sry.
