Im inerested in some pc games. Mainly sports games for abit of fun, and then some action games.

For sports, like tennis (topspin?),golf(pgatour),football(fifa07?),rugby,cricket…. Im not really into baseball or stuff like that.
And for shooting, like Counterstrike, C&C and things like that.

But i dont know which are the really good ones, but i’d rather the gameplay to be awesome and the graphics to be not so good rather than it be the better way round, as im not that patient and dont really like waiting for games that take ages to load.

Can you give me some suggestions, and i only have a direct x 9 card (geforce 7300GT). So dont tell me games if the card wont work particualarly well with the game, because as i said i’d rather the gameplay to be good rather than the graphics.. but obviously i want really good graphics.
But maybe not as good as top games like unreal tournament ect.

medal of honor is very good you can the no cd patch and the no credit patch takes you right in. there is several type of game play such as freeze tag ,team match , both can be objective(something you need to do to win) or just go free for all. i love playing it.plus there are about 300 500 custom maps out there plus a whole lot of other mods.

First of all, crank up your ISO to 1600 or more.
Secondly, set your camera to "Aperture Priority" and choose the largest aperture opening of your lens (the smallest number). If you are using a normal zoom lens, note that as you zoom, the aperture shrinks (nomber becomes larger) which also reduces the shutter speed. This will cause blurring.

The ideal solution is to use a zoom lens that has a large aperture opening – f2.8 and where the aperture is constant throughout the zoom range. The ideal lens would be the Nikon 70-200 VR which costs an arm and a leg (easily U$D1500). A cheaper alternative is the 50mm f1.8 prime lens (non-zoom). You should be able to get a shutter speed close to 1/500 with this set-up.

My Personal Preferences as a Avid Gamer id say Hand down Sports game would be Madden NfL 2007 the most enhanced game out there has the most fetures and everything its amazing if anyone told you Madden sucks they are obviously dumb! lol

and For a Action game id say Call of Duty GREAT GAME!!! Very fun to play and pretty realistic!

I started doing sports photography for the first time yesterday. I’m usually a landscape and architecture photographer, shooting things that generally don’t move a lot, so this was a real challenge to me.

These are good for working with a point and shoot. I notice you were using aperture priority, try using shutter priority, also I notice you were using an iso of 100, for sports you want to use an iso that is a bit faster. I would start at iso 400. and set the camera on shutter priority and start at 1/250. For sports you really need an slr and a telephoto lens. You can get so much closer with a telephoto lens-This was taken from midway up in the stands.

I’m wondering how well the Nikon Coolpix L120 does in a low-light gym with lots of sport action. I have a Nikon Coolpix L22 which doesn’t do a grand job in that condition, even on the sport setting. I love my camera, but that’s its only downfall.

Please tell me if you know from personal experience, not a review you read. And please don’t suggest more expensive cameras. I’m not looking to buy a professional camera anyway.

You won’t be happy with it.

Like your L22, Nkon "L" cameras, including the L120 are entry level compact cameras.

If you want better low-light performance, consider the Nikon P300 or Canon S95.

I’m an extreme sports guru. Especially when it comes to white water rafting. Is it okay to do while pregnant? I’m almost 19 weeks along and I am very experienced. What other sports are okay to continue? I’m in the middle of getting my health care changed so I do not have a particular doctor to speak to on it.

My doctor told me that I could continue to do any and all physical activity that I normally did including lifting until I felt it was no longer safe to do. I worked in a nursing home lifting patients until my 8th month of pregnancy, stayed active during both pregnancys, both of my kids turned out well, but do please make sure to take your prenatal vitamins every day, and intaking extra calcium is important too!!!

I’m a beginner photographer and I want to shoot portraits, landscapes, and sports(Action Sports to be specific). I’m already out of automatic modes( I usually shoot in Av). And I currently have a Canon T2i. I’m gonna get a 50mm 1.4 next month and hopefully a 70-200mm 4.0 for Christmas this year. But does anyone know of any lenses that would be good for shooting sports like skateboarding and rollerblading?

As others have said, larger apertures are important for sports. It allows you to run higher shutter speeds to stop action and the larger aperture reduces the depth of field so that your primary subject is the only thing in sharp focus.
You can go with a slower lens if you learn the techniques of tracking your subject so that they are not moving in the frame or choosing a peak of action where the subject is still (a border coming up from a half pipe to turn around and drop back in).

Speed costs money. The longer the lens, the more money it costs. I would recommend going to a skate park and shooting some photos with your present lens to see how much lens you need to get the subject a reasonable size in the frame. You might be able to go with a faster long lens if you don’t need the zoom range.
Depending on your level, you may have to stay outside in a spectator area or be allowed into the action area. I knew a drafter (engineering drawings) who also was a photographer and had a pass to be on the field for pro football games. Getting that type of authorization can move you much closer to the action which means that your lens can be much faster at a reasonable price.

Bigger, higher, further and more dangerous! The people of the world are constantly becoming more adventurous. Sport is at the forefront of the extreme revolution with new and daring sports springing up everywhere! From the now relatively established sports like wakeboarding to the wacky and frankly silly, extreme ironing!

It seems the human thirst for action and adventure knows no bounds, whether it is kayaking down the Congo or climbing Kilimanjaro and then jumping off the summit with nothing but an umbrella! Okay, so perhaps parachutes are used rather than umbrellas but how extreme would that be? Paragliding, only with an umbrella! (Don’t try that at home kids!)

Popularity for these sports is huge and growing daily and some of them have even found themselves accepted as Olympic events in recent years, such as snowboarding and BMX biking. This brings sometimes lesser known sports to the masses and encourages more and more people to get involved.

It’s reasonable to suggest that the explosion of these adventurous sports is shaping the way sport will be perceived in years to come. I don’t think soccer fans have anything to worry about, there will always be soccer but it wouldn’t be a stretch to think that some of these events may end up on college curriculums in the not too distant future.

How cool would that be? To look at your timetable and see that after Maths you have double wakeboarding at the local lake! The English language is already taking on new complex shapes as the extreme sports community expands into homes and families the world over.

The internet is jam packed full of websites dedicated to various shades of extreme sport. If you “Google” kitesurfing, for example, you will see almost two million results pop up! Make that more than six million for wakeboarding and a massive sixteen million for snowboarding! The revolution is in full swing and one of the great things about taking part is that you can often explore and experience some amazing parts of this great planet too.

So, hold on tight, grab your board, skates, chute, sail, boots, shades etc and enjoy the ride of your life as you join the extreme revolution.
